If you’re not where you want to be physically, then you really need to hear this. This is the truth and there’s no way around it…..
I’ve tried it, tested it on me and hundreds of others. My friends have tried it, my colleagues all over the world have tried it. Every angle has been addressed, every method tested. And this one truth does not change…..
YOU CANNOT OUT-EXERCISE A BAD DIET
IF YOU WANT RESULTS, YOU HAVE TO HAVE A NUTRITION PLAN……AND STICK TO IT.
. <-that means period.
So many of you bang your head against the proverbial weight/fat loss wall over and over again trying to (subconsciously I hope) prove me wrong. Save yourself. I already know the outcome with 100% certainty.
If what you eat on a daily basis does not support your goals you can do all the jump rope, tuck jumps, burpees and squats in the world and you will still have some extra wiggle and jiggle that you can never quite seem to shake.
Have you ever said one or more of the following:
I don’t eat THAT bad
I eat better than I used to
I think I’m eating pretty good
I eat pretty healthy
That (insert food) is my weakness but I don’t think it’s all that bad
I’m going to work out 6 days a week so I can have some more freedom in my diet.
I only ate a little_____……
Did you catch a theme in the above?
They all centered around a very loose plan…what I call Free-form eating.
Free-form eating is when you wake up each day and “try to make good eating choices”.
Free-form eating rarely gets you the results you want.
Believe me when I say this: If want to lose weight and excess body fat, or even if you don’t need to lose weight but you want to get rid of jiggle, firm up your butt and thighs, flatten your abs, tone your arms or anything else along those lines, you can’t just eat “better”. Along with regular challenging exercise you need a plan and you need to stick to it all the way.
And at this time of year more than ever you need a plan and some accountability.
It’s okay to enjoy a few extra treats here and there. And in fact any sound, realistic fat-loss plan will actually include a day to splurge on your favorites. But if you stay in free-form eating mode for more than a day or two you can set yourself back weeks!
Not good. That could easily be an additional 5+ pounds from one long 4-day weekend. Don’t laugh, I’ve seen it happen more than a few times.
If you need help, all of my programs come with a plan.
