Today is Ground Hog’s Day.
But, what I am going to talk about today is the movie, “Ground Hog’s Day.”
Where Bill Murray wakes up every morning only to repeat the same habits and actions each day and he receives the same results.
Hmmm, sound familiar to you?
Later in the movie, he makes changes to his behaviors, responds with new actions, and it opens up all these possibilities for him. He even finds his purpose in life!
How can you apply this to your life?
This is reason #2 of the Top 5 reasons People Fail list I want to share with you this week:
Doing the Same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
What are YOU doing day after day, expecting different results?
Things like:
-Going on a super strict diet only to fall off a few days later.
– Restricting yourself to just a few food groups then binging.
– Sticking like glue to your diet Monday-Friday afternoon then letting loose for 2.5 days.
– Working out consistently for a few weeks then skipping most or all of your workouts for a few weeks.
– Setting unrealistic timelines to lose weight.
– Not really giving it your all when it comes to the plan you’ve chosen to follow.
The list could go on and on. Especially when it comes to fat loss and fitness.
We think if we have more will power, more discipline or more motivation that we will be able to stick to the plan this time.

My action step for you today is very simple:
Evaluate all the things you have done in the past to lose fat and become more fit and identify YOUR pattern. I’d be surprised if there was not a pattern. We all have them.
In a lot of cases it’s the pattern of trying to change too much too fast. Falling into the all or nothing cycle.
We’re either working out 6 days a week, eating 1200 calories and drinking 1 gallon of water a day or we’re doing next to none of that at all.
Now, once you’ve identified that pattern it’s time to break it. Step by step but consistently.
