4 Dangerous Words

I Already Know That…..

4 small words that can hold you hostage.

It’s rare these days that I meet someone that knows NOTHING about how to “eat right” and exercise.

I can’t always say that what they “know” is accurate or effective, but they DO know something.

But something strange tends to happen…..I begin to suggest ways that what they are doing might be improved and I often here a version of the four words above:

“Yeah, I know”

“I do that already”

It’s then usually followed by something like: “Ok great but what else can I do?”

With those 4 words and that one question they have essentially shut the door to continued learning and RESULTS.

And really it’s not their fault.

We hear and see so much fitness info on facebook, pinterest, magazines, reality shows. We all probably HAVE heard or seen just about every fitness/health tip on the planet.

As a result we are always looking for what’s next, what’s new, the shiny object to catch our attention and no one is actually DOING anything.

You see the power of information is not in simply KNOWING it but in APPLYING it.

Taking in knowledge and then not taking action is a waste of time

For instance you already KNOW that for losing body fat (that wiggle and jiggle)

-You need to eat real food

-You need to severely limit your intake of processed foods

– Eating fast food is bad

-Long stead cardio is not needed

-Abs are made in the kitchen, not with crunches

– You need to lift some heavy weights

– You need to be consistent and patient

….like I said, stuff you know, especially if you read my emails and blogs regularly.

But what do you DO?

What do you really DO? Not just what you intend to do, what you are thinking about doing or what you do on occasion.

The DOING is where the *magic* happens.

I’m here today to motivate you to not be like everyone else.

Take action on what you’ve learned about fitness and nutrition.

There’s another saying that goes something like “until you actually apply your knowledge, you don’t really know anything”

It’s your responsibility to not only gather information but to apply it, test it. See what actually works for YOU.
