3 More Reasons People Fail

Yesterday I shared 5 reasons that people fail in any goal  and specifically weight loss.
I originally planned on listing  just the 5 reasons I gave you yesterday but there are three more that I think are probably the most important so I couldn’t leave them out and let you miss out on the “aha” moment I’m positive you’ll have after reading them.

6. They get distracted– entrepreneurs call it the “shiny object” syndrome. We get attracted to the next exciting new project and never finish  or stick to one thing until it’s completed. How many diets and workout programs have you started and stuck with for 1-2 weeks then you see the next “latest, greatest and best weight loss program or exercise plan” and you bail on your current path to start that instead.

7. They Get Cocky– once you get a little success you get comfortable and over- confident about your success so you begin to get slack on the steps it takes to duplicate that success. In weight loss think about how you begin to spread your cheat meals into cheat days, weekends or weeks (yikes!). What was once a great and enjoyable way to spike your calories is now making you backslide on all that you’ve accomplished so far.

8. They buy and never DO– you can gather info, pick a great program, set amazing goose bump inspiring goals and establish a plan but then you sit and do nothing. No action taken. When it comes to weight loss, this is the gym membership that is never used. The boot camp that is not attended, the menus printed but never followed, the grocery shopping that’s done but the food is wasted. The coaching that you’re offered but never take advantage of. You must take massive action to reach your weight loss and fitness goals.
